I Had Him On The Floor !

I bet you're wondering by the choice of my title, what do you mean you had him on the floor? Who did you have on the floor? Romeo? Reyan?

To answer the first question I had Reyan on the floor!

If you follow me on instagram you'll know that i have two sons, eldest being Romeo and youngest is Reyan, who are just a year and two weeks apart.

So let me just tell you from the beginning.

It was 15 July 2015 Romeo and I decided that we was going out to buy the last few thing that were needed for Reyan's arrival. Just after 1pm we arrived at Peckham (south London) walking around I felt a slight pain, bareable lasted a minute or so and it didn't come back for a while, I didn't think much of it, I could handle the pain and they were really far apart so I kept walking round. In mother care they started to get more frequent where I noticed a pattern, still very far apart. I remember telling Romeo to behave because mummy had started labour and baby was coming. Romeo that day was crying a lot wanting more attention, he knew the baby that he kissed everyday was finally going to arrive and he was going to have to share his mummy & daddy with someone else. Well that's what I assume he thought.

We went back to my mums house, I fed Romeo had another shower to see if it helped my pains and it sure did help ease the pain.
Mum told to drink the cinnomon and milk Like I had drank while I was In labour with Romeo, I told her she must be out of her mind because I soon as I drink it that's it. Time to run to the hospital plus she wasn't home yet. Eventually when she got home I drank the cinnamon and milk and my contractions were closer together it was time to go hospital !!!!

For people wondering for both Romeo and Reyan I drank a hot cup of cinnomon milk and sugar, lucky for me, both times it speeded up my contractions.

Back to the story, we got to the hospital I was told to pee in one of those little flasks but when I went toilet no pee came out which I didn't care I was in too much pain at this point and tired. As soon as I came out the toilet I started pushing, I told the midwife that the baby was coming she didn't care so I pushed again once I stopped pushing I felt the head go back so I started screaming telling the midwife again that my baby was coming that I felt the head go back inside somewhere. She then decided to check me baring in mind there was no one there waiting but me, she then told a another widwife to rush me on a wheelchair to deliver my baby. I didn't get checked in, she kept telling me to stop pushing, if you have had a baby before you'll know the urge to push is not controllable, well not for me anyways.

There was no available room until I heard someone scream room 9!! She rushed me into room 9 to find out there was no bed in room 9 but I didn't care I needed to push! A really sweet lady with blonde hair came in quickly, put some things on the floor told me to turn around, go on my knees on the floor and push infront of the wheelchair so I did, she then broke my water for me. Ha! Yeah my water hadn't broken I still remember the relief I felt when she broke that water it was the best feeling ever!!! I pushed a couple of times and Reyan was here no pain happy and healthy and no pain killers through out. He looked just like Romeo when he was born. I then got a really nice room by myself with a nice view of the Big Ben, I'm guessing it was because I had Reyan on the floor.

Would I do it again? Of course but not any time soon.
Would I change anything about my birth story if I could? No it was a completely different experience to Romeos birth both very lovely and special to me. Just like any other mother will cherish how they gave birth to their little one.

Love Margie-Alexandra
